Norman Regional Honored with OHA's Tobacco Cessation Award

The Oklahoma Hospital Association (OHA) Health Improvement Initiatives team presented Norman Regional with a Tobacco Cessation Champion of Health Award – Excellence in Clinical Tobacco Treatment.
Norman Regional Health System was recognized for sustained excellence in clinical tobacco treatment and referrals to the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline.
Since 2017, Norman Regional Health System has referred 3,107 patients to the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline (OTH) for follow-up cessation services, which accounts for an estimated 2,180 years of life saved and $1.1 million in healthcare cost savings due to enhanced quit rates.
