A Commitment to Accessible Healthcare
Norman Regional Urgent Care - Porter Health Village is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., providing comprehensive medical services without the need for an appointment. Equipped with on-site diagnostics, including X-rays and lab tests, this location gives people of all ages access to quick and leading-edge care today, not next week.
Chief Nursing Officer of Norman Regional, Brittni McGill, MSN, RN, CCRN, highlighted the importance of this new facility, stating, “This is one of the final pieces of our Inspire Health strategic plan. With the move of our flagship facility over to the HealthPlex campus, we recognize that patients need care on this side of town. So this is our commitment to providing access and care to patients.”
Expanding the Urgent Care Footprint in the OKC Metro
Norman Regional is not stopping with Porter Health Village. McGill also announced the upcoming openings of additional urgent care locations, including West Moore on Sept. 3 and Goldsby on Sept. 23. “We’re continuing to expand to make sure patients get the care they need,” she added.
Compassionate Care in Your Community
Collectively, Norman Regional Urgent Care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants have about 60 years of experience in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Emergency Medicine and radiology.
Ricardo “Rich” Rodriguez, MD, a board-certified physician at the clinic, shared his enthusiasm for joining the Norman community. “My wife and I are both recent additions to not only Norman Regional but also Oklahoma…. We were recruited by Norman Regional to help expand its community’s access to care and offer the entire community the right care at the right time.”
Dr. Rodriguez emphasized the role of the urgent care clinic in alleviating pressure on other healthcare services. “By offering the urgent care services, we help to decrease the burden on our primary care, specialty colleagues and Emergency Department by taking care of patients who would normally have to wait for care or wait in the ER.”
Norman Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Facility
Scott Martin, the President and CEO of the Norman Chamber of Commerce attended the urgent care ribbon cutting. He praised Norman Regional for its continued investment in the community, stating, “Norman is so blessed and lucky to have a hospital system that continues to invest in our community and our people. Our businesses are as healthy and strong as our health system is.”
He also expressed gratitude for the health system’s commitment to the east side community of Norman, saying, “Thank you for continuing to leave a footprint here on the east side of Norman and continuing to be part of our overall health.”
Lower Co-pays
Norman Regional Urgent Care facilities charge and bill the same as a primary care visit, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional urgent care clinics.
We ensure continuity of care by utilizing the same electronic health records system as all other clinics within the Norman Regional Health System. This integration allows for seamless communication and comprehensive care across all of our locations.
