Norman Regional Hospital Services Moving July 28, Porter ER Closing

Norman Regional Health System will move its flagship hospital from 901 N. Porter Ave. to 3300 HealthPlex Parkway in Norman.

This location, currently called Norman Regional HealthPlex, will change its name to Norman Regional Hospital on Monday, July 29. The 901 N. Porter Ave. location will change its name to Porter Health Village.

Services Moving to New Norman Regional Hospital

  • The Porter Emergency Department at 901 N. Porter Ave will close at 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 28. No emergency services will be provided at this location. Patients can visit our three other Emergency Department locations at Norman Regional Hospital, Norman Regional Moore, and Norman Regional Nine. If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911.
  • Other services moving from 901 N. Porter Ave to 3300 HealthPlex Parkway include inpatient care units such as the Intensive Care Unit, surgical services, and more.

Services Remain at 901 N. Porter

The following services will remain at 901 N. Porter:

  • Norman Regional’s first urgent care will begin seeing patients in the former Emergency Department space at 901 N. Porter Ave. It will open at 7 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024.
  • The Education Center is currently being remodeled and will open in the fall of 2024.
  • Health Information Management (HIM)
  • The Cancer Management Center
  • Medical Oncology
  • PET/CT

Entrances

Norman Regional Hospital – 3300 HealthPlex Parkway

Hospital patients can enter Norman Regional Hospital through the main entrance on HealthPlex Parkway, where they will follow the roundabout towards the circular entrance to drop off patients or visitors at the main door.

For emergencies, use the dedicated Emergency Entrance located on the southeast side of the hospital. Look for red Emergency signs and designated parking for quick access to critical care.

Porter Health Village - 901 N. Porter Ave.

The only public entrances to 901 N. Porter will be the Cancer Management Entrance, the Northeast Entrance and the Urgent Care Entrance.
