We are thrilled to announce that four of our exceptional nurses at Norman Regional Health System have been honored as winners of the 2024 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards. This recognition celebrates the dedication, expertise, and outstanding service of nurses across Oklahoma.

The March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards highlight the vital role nurses play in healthcare. With over 950 nominations from across the state, the selection of our nurses highlights their exceptional contributions to medicine.

Meet Our Award-Winning Nurses

Vicki Johnson

Recognized in the Education category, Vickie has been instrumental in advancing nursing education within our health system, ensuring that our nursing staff is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care.

Amy Hawley  

Awarded in the Nursing Innovation in Clinical Advancement and/or Healthcare Technology Partner category. Amy's innovative approaches in nursing have significantly enhanced patient care and clinical operations at Norman Regional.

Lauren McBride

Honored in the LPN category, Lauren's compassionate care and clinical excellence set a high standard for practical nursing and patient interaction.

Brandon Byrd

Winner in the Infection Control, Occupational Health, Quality & Risk Management category. Brandon's dedication to maintaining high standards of health and safety has been crucial in our efforts to manage and mitigate health risks within the hospital.

Celebrating Nursing Excellence

The awards were presented at the 15th annual Nurse of the Year Awards, held at the Riverwind Casino Showplace Theatre on November 14. Norman Regional is proud to be a presenting sponsor of this year’s gala, with Brittni McGill, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, serving as this year’s chair.
