A message from The Executive Team regarding the Monday, March 24, 2025 Board Meeting

On Monday, March 24, 2025, the Norman Regional Hospital Authority Board of Trustees met to discuss several topics with impact on the future of the Norman Regional Health System. We wanted to provide you with an update and assure you that Norman Regional remains committed to all of our employees and bringing quality care to patients.

First, the board accepted the resignation of our Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer Rick Wagner. We are grateful for his leadership and serving our patients and employees in his role as CFO and co-CEO. Effective immediately, Aaron L. Boyd, MD, MBA, FACHE will be President and CEO. We will work swiftly to hire an interim CFO and will be communicating directly with leaders impacted by the change in reporting relationship.

Second, the trustees elected Kelley Lobb, MD to serve as Chair of the board. We appreciate her willingness to take a leadership position.

Additionally, the board voted to remain independent after thoughtfully and carefully considering options for the health system that support our focus on service and care for our patients. Norman Regional will be engaging with a healthcare financial consulting firm, Plante Moran, to formulate a plan to ensure successful long-term independence.

Our number one priority is continuity of care. We remain committed to providing personalized healthcare with compassion and excellence for the residents of south central Oklahoma for many years to come.

Norman Regional is integral to our community, and we understand the interest our community may have in these developments. Please feel free to direct questions to NRHSCorpComm@nrh-ok.com.
