About Joshua Wilson, MD

Joshua Wilson, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Ortho Central’s Norman and Tri-City Clinic locations.

Dr. Wilson pursued a career in orthopedics so that he could build relationships and help athletes of all levels. Dr. Wilson’s goal is to directly improve the quality of life for each patient.

Dr. Wilson’s patients can expect a provider who will make himself available for his patients and treat each of them as if they are family members. He will take the time to fully explain conditions, answer questions, and create individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s wishes, expectations, and needs.

Dr. Wilson has a Chickasaw background and is proud to have the opportunity to provide care for this community.

This physician is AMAZING! Got me in and out QUICKLY! The entire staff: kind, courteous, and compassionate. This was my first time being at the Young Athletic Center. Your offices there are lovely and the signage spot on. I did have a VERY VERY UNFORTUNATE LONG WAIT IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT NRH WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED. Waiting over 4 hours to be seen is unacceptable and I was further angered when I learned that on the day I WAS THERE…. They had opened a bunch more emergency rooms. No excuse for my excessively long wait with a broken neck. That experience was the HOSPITAL….. NOT ORTHO CENTRAL.. 5 STARS FOR DR. JOSHUA WILSON!!!

Dr Wilson took his time in explaining what the injury entailed, next steps, & possible treatments based on a couple of possible finding with the next steps. We came to ortho stat for a 2nd opinion after visiting OU Children’s orthopedic. Dr Wilson answered all of our questions with plenty of detail so we as parents could make an informed decision.

The wait was short!!! They even got us in the same day!!! The casting girl was great! She kept the conversation going (which is hard to do with 10 year old boys!!!) and it kept him distracted from his discomfort!!!

Advice schedule your physical therapy when they tell you to! It has helped me so much with my progression ( had tibial nail inserted)

I close fractured the humeral head of my shoulder. Gnarly injury for sure. Dr. Wilson had my case from the ER to recovery. He sticks to the facts, explains the problem clearly and gets to the fixing. Surgery went well, and at this point I’m very confident my recovery will be excellent. Very pleased with Dr. Wilson and I will undoubtedly seek his care for any future injuries I may have.

This is my first surgery but I’ve had to deal with several in my family. I’m post surgery by 3 months now and each and every single interaction with dr Wilson and his staff has been above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced with any surgeon or staff from our many previous family surgeries. They are simply in a different league. I would recommend everyone to him and ortho stay in general. Their physical therapy is amazing. Their surgical staff has been amazing. Their diagnostic dept has been amazing and their ortho stay emergency services have been amazing.

Down to earth dr. And staff. Very quick on things. There was a little issues with call backs from nurse staff but it's acceptable due to the labor day weekend. Definitely will be referred to friends and if any future injuries with me ( praying not) and or my family. Loved the boots and scrubs for surgery day. Made it comfortable.

Placed in a removable brace and recommended least invasive approach to wait and see if the bones stay in place as seen on X-ray to determine further intervention.
