She moved to Oklahoma in 2015 with her family. She grew up in Michigan and decided to pursue medicine at young age. She attended Midwestern University and completed her family medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. She served as Chief resident for her program and co-developed a medical weight management for women during that time. Weight management has been her passion from the beginning of her career. After residency she completed a research fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin with a focus on prevention of childhood obesity.
