About Kathryn Cook, MD

Kate Cook, MD, received her medical degree with special distinction from The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2004 and completed her pediatric residency at the OU Health Sciences Center. Dr. Cook has been practicing as a pediatric hospitalist since 2007 when she completed her residency. She chose to become a healthcare provider “for the challenge and the sense of fulfilling a calling,” she said.

“I had planned on becoming an ophthalmologist, but children and the people who devote their lives to caring for them won my heart,” Dr. Cook said. “I have the privilege to support families during their most stressful times. I share the perspective of being a parent of a critically ill child and can use my experiences to help families navigate through their child’s illness.”
