Norman Regional Health System is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon-cutting of the Young Family Athletic Center (YFAC), a state-of-the-art 122,000-square-foot facility we've partnered in creating, located on a 12-acre site in northern Norman.
Situated at 2201 Trae Young Drive, the YFAC is a symbol of our dedication to enhancing community health and well-being. This remarkable facility offers premier amenities including basketball and volleyball courts, aquatics, sports medicine, youth sports, camps, leagues and a retail store.
We invite you to join us at the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 19, after the “Elevate the Game” Art Dedication at 10 a.m. on the same day. Everyone is welcome to this significant moment.
“As part of our unwavering commitment to the community's health and fitness, Norman Regional is thrilled to see this project materialize,” said Richie Splitt, President and CEO of Norman Regional. “The YFAC stands as a beacon for sports and health enthusiasts, families, and athletes of all levels. With nearby accommodation facilities, we anticipate it becoming a prime destination for sports events and long-term engagement.”

At the heart of YFAC is a multi-sport gymnasium, featuring eight basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts, and 18 pickleball courts, along with a 74-foot video screen for live game displays.
The aquatic section includes an 8-lane 25-yard competition pool and a 4-lane warm-up pool, both equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The center also houses comprehensive amenities like locker rooms, diving blocks, timing systems, conference rooms, and more.
Notably, the iconic sculpture "Elevate the Game" by DiBari & Associates at the facility's entrance encapsulates the spirit of athletic diversity and excellence.
