James Bond, MD, Named Best Orthopedic Surgeon by 405 Magazine

When asked about earning this award, Dr. Bond was quick to shift the praise to his peers. “When I go to clinic, I couldn’t see all of the patients I see without the outstanding staff around me,” said Dr. Bond.

“I know within myself that the awards I have won over the years are a little bit me and a lot those around me. You never do anything alone, and you only do great things as a team, and we have a great team at Ortho Central.”

Dr. Bond specializes in the surgical treatment of sports injuries and orthopedic disorders, with a focus on the shoulder and knee. “When we are on the sidelines at high school sports, it’s a labor of love. It doesn’t matter who you are, at some point, a job will eventually feel like a job unless you feel like you are helping people,” said Dr. Bond. “The only thing that keeps you going is paying it forward by helping people and helping the community.”

His patients and many in our community know that Dr. Bond’s heart lies in giving back to Oklahoma and 2024 has been a big year in that regard. Whether it was providing frontline care on the sidelines of high school sporting events, caring for his patients or his instrumental role in bringing the Young Family Athletic Center to life, at the core of his philosophy, it’s all about giving back.
