Welcome to the Norman Regional Gomer Jones First Aid Center, where our mission is to keep every fan safeMedical staff performing first aid on football player and healthy during home games at the Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Whether you're cheering for the Sooners or supporting the visiting team, our dedicated medical team is here to provide you with top-notch care, free of charge. The Norman Regional Gomer Jones Medical Facility is located at the north end of the stadium near Section 19 on the ground level.

Comprehensive, Free Medical Care for All Fans

The Gomer Jones First Aid Center is a state-of-the-art medical facility located inside Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, offering free medical care to all fans in need. This 8-bed unit is fully equipped to handle a variety of medical situations, staffed by a compassionate team of healthcare professionals including a physician, registered nurses, and EMSSTAT paramedics.

Our doctors and nurses volunteer their time to ensure that everyone receives the best possible care when they need it most.

  • Cardiac Episodes: Our team is trained and equipped to handle heart-related emergencies with speed and precision.
  • Asthma Attacks: We offer quick and effective treatment for those experiencing difficulty breathing due to asthma or other respiratory conditions.
  • Injury Treatment: From bee stings and falls to more severe injuries, we are prepared to provide prompt and effective care.

Stay Cool with Our Cooling Stations

In addition to the Gomer Jones First Aid Center, we also operate several cooling stations throughout the stadium. These stations are designed to help fans beat the heat and stay hydrated, offering a cool respite from the Oklahoma sun.

Remember to drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

  3. Protect Yourself from the Sun: Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and use sunglasses to shield yourself from the sun.
  4. Know the Symptoms of Heat Illness: If you or someone around you feels dizzy, nauseous, or weak, find shade, hydrate, and seek medical attention if needed.
  5. Look Out for Each Other: If a friend or fellow fan shows signs of heat exhaustion or other medical issues, don’t hesitate to get help.
