About Raghuveer Vedala, MD,Dipl. ABOM,FAAFP,Dipl. ABLM
Raghuveer Vedala, MD, FAAFP, Dipl. ABOM, Dipl. ABLM, is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing at Norman Regional’s Primary Care – South OKC clinic. Dr. Vedala also holds board certifications from the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. In addition to his primary care practice, he specializes in weight management and lifestyle health, providing care for patients at Norman Regional’s Health@TheWell Metabolic Weight Loss Clinic.
Dr. Vedala earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed his residency at Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita, Kansas. He chose family medicine to build lasting relationships with his patients while providing comprehensive, wide-ranging care.

- Lifestyle and preventative health
- Management of chronic conditions, including asthma, COPD, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension etc.
- Mental health
- Obesity and weight management
- Office-based procedures, including joint injections, Nexplanon placement, skin biopsies, etc.
Dr. Vedala prioritizes patient-centered care and shared decision-making. “I’m a firm believer in listening to my patients, respecting their opinions and providing evidence-based treatment options tailored to their needs,” he said.
In December 2022, Dr. Vedala was recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), an honor that reflects his dedication to advancing the specialty of family medicine and promoting the principles of primary care: accessibility, continuity, comprehensiveness and patient-centered care. He is also passionate about teaching and frequently mentors medical students in his clinic as part of their 3rd and 4th year Family Medicine Clerkship.
In his free time, Dr. Vedala enjoys traveling with his wife, being a foodie, playing with his dogs, ballroom and Bollywood dancing, karaoke and keeping up with personal fitness.
